“WE ARE RANKED 3RD IN THE WORLD”

Making the opening speech of the Blue Flag award ceremony, TÜRÇEV Northern Aegean Provinces Regional Coordinator Doğan Karataş said, “The Blue Flag application was first launched in 1993 in Turkey. From that year until today, the number of our Blue Flags has gradually increased. Today, we rank 3rd in the world with 551 Blue Flags. Blue Flag is one of the most important labels that people look for before choosing a beach today. I would like to proudly say that Kuşadası Municipality is one of the most important coastal municipalities in Turkey that attaches importance to Blue Flag activities. "For this reason, I would like to thank our Mayor, Mr. Ömer Günel," he said.

“BLUE FLAGS ARE A SOURCE OF PRIDE FOR US”

Kuşadası District Governor Sadettin Yücel said, “Unfortunately, people pollute the seas and the atmosphere and burn forests all over the world. We are doing our best to make the world uninhabitable. Therefore, managers have important duties in protecting the environment. We have to leave a more livable world to future generations. We are proud that there are 24 beaches flying the Blue Flag in Kuşadası. "I would like to thank everyone who contributed," he said.
