CHILDREN IN KUŞADASI HAVE FUN AND GAIN RECYCLING AWARENESS

The Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate established within Kuşadası Municipality, which draws attention with its recycling activities, continued its awareness-raising activities in the city with Yaylaköy District.

Awareness-raising activities continue in Kuşadası within the scope of the "Zero Waste Project" led by Mayor Ömer Günel, who attaches great importance to the protection of nature and the environment. Kuşadası Municipality Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate employees visit the neighborhoods in the city and inform children and citizens about recycling and zero waste, while also carrying out practical workshops. The teams first came together with the residents of Kirazlı District in the glass transformation workshop organized for this purpose, and their second stop was Yaylaköy District.

At the event, families and their children used the paint and stamps given to them and transformed the waste glass they brought from their homes into decorative objects. During the workshop, which featured colorful images and fun moments, Ayşe Özoğul, staff of the Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate, informed the participants, especially children, about the importance of zero waste, recycling and sorting waste.
