GOOD NEWS FROM KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY REGARDING NATURAL GAS FOR DAVUTLAR AND GÜZELÇAMLI
Tahsin Demirtaş, Acting Mayor of Kuşadası, held a meeting with Ali Güngör, ENERYA’s Provincial Director for Aydın. During the meeting, significant progress was made in the project to connect Davutlar and Güzelçamlı districts to the natural gas network, in line with the 2027 target.
Ali Güngör, ENERYA’s Provincial Director for Aydın, paid a visit to Tahsin Demirtaş, Acting Mayor of Kuşadası, at his office. The visit, which was also attended by Şükrü Dağdelen, ENERYA’s Head of Research, Projects and Construction, and Mehmet Balcı, ENERYA’s Representative for Kuşadası, focused on the natural gas investments to be carried out in Kuşadası during 2026. The meeting also covered the steps to be taken to bring natural gas to Davutlar and Güzelçamlı following discussions which began in November 2025, with significant progress made in the project process. During the meeting, where assessments were also made to accelerate the process towards the 2027 target in Davutlar and Güzelçamlı, it was emphasised that investments in the natural gas infrastructure across the city would continue unabated.

Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş, who stated that they are working in collaboration with ENERYA to ensure that natural gas reaches every household in Kuşadası, said;
“In 2019, the year Mayor Ömer Günel took office, natural gas was available to 12,342 households in Kuşadası. By the end of 2025, this figure increased more than fivefold to 63,808. Residents of the Yavansu, Değirmendere, Kadınlar Denizi, Hacıfeyzullah, Türkmen, Ege, İkiçeşmelik, Bayraklıdede, Karaova and Cumhuriyet districts are now enjoying uninterrupted natural gas supply thanks to the investments made. Mayor Ömer Günel had also initiated projects for Davutlar and Güzelçamlı in 2025. Acting on the principle that there can be no interruption in service, we have made significant progress in the meetings we held today with ENERYA officials. We held a positive and productive meeting with the relevant authority to accelerate this process. Our work for our city continues with determination.”
