Kuşadası City Council Extended Neighborhood Assemblies meeting was held. Neighborhood Councils, established by Kuşadası City Council in order to spread participatory democracy throughout the city, held their second meeting at Pera Wedding Hall. Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel also attended the meeting, which attracted great attention. At the meeting, the demands reported from the neighborhoods were presented to Mayor Ömer Günel. Evaluating the demand reports one by one, Mayor Ömer Günel first told the participants about the infrastructure and superstructure investments and projects they have carried out throughout the city in 4.5 years. Then he answered the questions.

City Council President Mustafa Ünver, who made the opening speech of the meeting, said that city councils undertake a duty to make democracy and participation functional. Emphasizing that thanks to the established Neighborhood Assemblies, local administration and citizens will think and act together, Ünver stated that the joint work will contribute greatly to making Kuşadası a more beautiful and livable city.

Mayor Ömer Günel stated that, as Kuşadası Municipality, they will open social reinforcement areas called Second Spring Center, which will serve retirees, in the neighborhoods in need, and said, “We will open the first of these in Davutlar District. There will be units such as an open-air cinema, cafeteria, recreation areas, meeting room, health room and book café. In these centers, most things for retirees' needs will be free of charge. The project will also offer socialization opportunities for the residents of Davutlar District. "We always stand by our retired citizens against those who consider it necessary to make a one-time payment of 5 thousand liras to retirees." said.

Pointing out that he and his teammates have worked hard for Kuşadası since the day he took office, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “In 4.5 years, we have provided a service to Kuşadası that has not been provided in 25 years. We renewed the infrastructure and superstructure of many of our neighborhoods. The sewage problem of our Davutlar Neighborhood, which has not been solved for many years, has been solved. We added 1 million 478 thousand 523 square meters of new roads to our city. We provided in-kind and cash aid to our families and students in need. "There is an age of service in every neighborhood of our city," he said.
