IMPORTANT DECISION FROM KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY FOR PLANNED BUILDING

Continuing its work with the aim of planned and healthy urbanization, Kuşadası Municipality has decided not to grant building permits to new development areas whose infrastructures have not been planned by the municipality and relevant institutions. According to the decision taken by the Municipal Council, building permits will not be issued until infrastructure service planning is made in the regions in question.

An important decision was taken at the July ordinary meeting of Kuşadası Municipal Council to ensure planned and healthy construction. With the decision brought to the agenda of the parliament by the Directorate of Planning and Urbanization and accepted unanimously in line with the Planning Commission report, it was decided not to grant building permits to areas reserved as urban development areas where technical infrastructure services included in the 1/1000 scale zoning plan have not yet been planned. According to the decision, the issuance of building permits was stopped in the remaining parts of the zoning islands, where infrastructure services were confirmed by the relevant institutions and organizations to have not been completed, there was no construction and the licensing and construction rate was below 70 percent.

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel pointed out the importance of the decision and said, “This decision will also regulate the progress of construction in Kuşadası and the balanced and fair progress of infrastructure services. Therefore, this situation will also relieve us as the municipal administration. Because it is our duty to carry this out in a balanced manner in a place where it is not possible to meet unlimited demands with narrow budgets and opportunities,” he said.
