“CONSTRUCTION LICENSES WILL NOT BE GRANTED TO AREAS WITHOUT PLANNED INFRASTRUCTURE”

Kuşadası Municipality has initiated a study to prevent construction permits from being granted in new development areas whose infrastructures have not yet been planned. Construction permits will not be issued in areas where infrastructure planning such as roads, pavements, asphalt, electricity, water, sewage, telephone and natural gas have not yet been completed by the Municipality and relevant institutions by the Directorate of Planning and Urbanization, which has started preparations on the subject upon the instruction of Mayor Ömer Günel. Information about this work will be shared with the zoning commission, council members and non-governmental organizations.

“TARGET PLANNED URBANIZATION”

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel pointed out that their goal is planned urbanization and said, “Since the day we took office, we have been working to solve the infrastructure and superstructure problems of our city that have been waiting for solutions for many years. We work hard to make the existing infrastructure and superstructure as healthy as we can in old residential areas. The things we can do for these regions are limited, but in order for the new residential areas to develop in a planned and healthy manner, we have initiated a study to not grant construction permits until the infrastructure planning is completed by our municipality and relevant institutions. The implementation of this work will also accelerate the transformation of old buildings in the center. We have no doubt that our fellow citizens who will engage in construction activities will show the necessary understanding and sensitivity regarding the issue.” said.
