MAYOR ÖMER GÜNEL: 'WE ARE DETERMINED TO PROTECT NATURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT'

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel met with representatives of non-governmental organizations operating in the city. Speaking at the meeting where demands and suggestions regarding Kuşadası were discussed, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “Our aim is to obtain the opinions of all segments of the society on every issue that closely concerns our city, especially nature and environment. "We manage Kuşadası with common sense," he said.

Mayor Ömer Günel continues to meet regularly with non-governmental organizations in the city in line with his understanding of managing Kuşadası with common sense. In this context, Mayor Ömer Günel met with representatives of Kuşadası Civil Society Platform, of which approximately 60 associations are members. At the meeting held in the Council Hall of Kuşadası Municipality New Service Building, Mayor Ömer Günel listened to the demands and suggestions of the representatives on various issues. Later, he exchanged ideas with the members about the environment, nature, wildlife protection, infrastructure and superstructure investments, decisions taken by the municipal council and social aid to be provided in Kuşadası.

Stating that they have been working hard for Kuşadası since the day they took office, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “Kuşadası is a rapidly growing tourism city. We attach importance to the ideas that all segments of society give us in the projects we produce for the beautification of Kuşadası. Because we manage Kuşadası with common sense. We are especially committed to the protection of nature and the environment. For this purpose, we established the Cultural and Natural Heritage Protection Unit within our municipality. "We will continue to meet with non-governmental organizations regularly every month," he said.
