KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY BROUGHT DEAL FRIENDS TOGETHER WITH CHILDREN

PRESIDENT ÖMER GÜNEL: “WE ARE TURKEY'S MOST MODERN ANIMAL REHABILITATION CENTER”

Kuşadası Pet Rehabilitation Center, which was completely renovated by Kuşadası Municipality and whose treatment and shelter conditions for stray animals were further improved, hosted little students on October 4, World Animal Protection Day. The children toured the center with Mayor Ömer Günel and received information from veterinarians about the care and health status of homeless friends.

Drawing attention with its animal-friendly policies, Kuşadası Municipality organized a trip for students to Kuşadası Pet Rehabilitation Center on October 4, World Animal Protection Day. In this context, kindergarten, primary and secondary school students studying in different schools in the city visited the center with Mayor Ömer Günel. Children, who received information about the studies carried out on stray animals by the veterinarians working at the center, their health conditions and care, paid close attention to all animals, especially kittens and dogs.

THEY GAVE FOOD AND BLANKETS AS PRESENTS

During the trip, the students were informed by the staff about the importance of October 4 World Animal Day, how to approach animals and love for animals. The little students had a great time and then handed over the food and blankets they brought with them to the staff. After completing their pleasant tour at the center, the students had fun with magic and bubble shows performed by animators. Animal-loving little ones were also offered fruit juice and cake from the Kuşadası Municipality Catering Vehicle.

  'WE SHOULD ALWAYS PROTECT THEM'

Ada Ünal, a 5th grade student at Bahçeşehir College, who visited Kuşadası Pet Rehabilitation Center, stated that she loves animals very much and said, “I also feed animals at our home. I have one dog. Since animals also carry life, we must always love and protect them,” she said.

Kağan Özkan said, “Today we had the opportunity to see the animals up close. I also feed birds in our house. Please let's be good to animals. "Let's leave food and water on the street for them regularly," he said.

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel also thanked the children for their sensitivity towards animals. Stating that they are very happy to host little animal lovers at Kuşadası Pet Rehabilitation Center, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “We have completely renovated our center. Here, we improved the housing conditions for our homeless friends while they were receiving treatment. We are one of the most modern rehabilitation centers in Turkey. The lives of stray animals are entrusted to us. For this reason, we provide all necessary care, treatment and support to our dear friends who are treated at our center. "We make every effort to instill love for animals in our children from an early age," he said.
