KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY DELEGATION CONDUCTS SERVICE EXPLORATION IN DAVUTLAR: FIELD ASSESSMENT AND ON-SITE SOLUTIONS

As part of fieldwork aimed at shaping the town’s development, the management team of Kuşadası Municipality carried out an extensive programme of visits in the Davutlar district. The delegation, led by Kuşadası Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş and comprising Deputy Mayors Özgür Batçıoğlu and Remzi Çengel, as well as members of the municipal council, conducted a series of visits in the Davutlar.

A MEETING OF SHARED WISDOM WITH CIVIL SOCIETY AND POLITICAL REPRESENTATIVES

At the Republican People’s Party’s Davutlar District Representative Office, the first stop of the visit, a comprehensive assessment was made of the general situation in the district and the work being carried out. The delegation then visited the Davutlar Association for Social Assistance and Solidarity of Eastern and South-Easterners to strengthen the spirit of social solidarity, and exchanged views with the association’s members on the preservation of district culture. During the continuation of these social engagements, a meeting was held with representatives of the Atatürkist Thought Association to receive information on the association’s current activities, and the importance of civil society organisations’ participation in local governance processes was reaffirmed once again.

INSPECTION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS AND SERVICE POINTS

As part of the outreach activities aimed at ensuring the administrative coordination of the district, a meeting was held with the district management. The delegation adopted a solution-oriented approach, taking direct note of the district’s priority needs and residents’ expectations. Later in the programme, a technical inspection tour was conducted at the council’s additional service building. Deputy Mayor Remzi Çengel briefed the delegation members on the building’s operations and the quality of services provided to residents, outlining the projects being implemented to elevate service quality to the highest level.

 A NEW GENERATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT VISION FOR SOCIAL FACILITIES

Belediyenin sosyal projelerinin odağında yer alan İkinci Bahar ve Gençlik Merkezi’ne yapılan ziyaretlerde, sunulan imkânların verimliliği yerinde gözlemlendi. Yaş almış vatandaşların sosyal hayata katılımını sağlayan ve gençlerin gelişimine katkı sunan bu merkezlerdeki faaliyetler, heyet tarafından büyük bir titizlikle incelendi. Günün sonunda mahalle genelinde yürütülen saha çalışmalarıyla vatandaşların talepleri ve önerileri tek tek dinlenerek, tüm birimlerin bu doğrultuda aksiyon alması için gerekli notlar tutuldu. Kuşadası Belediyesi’nin halkla iç içe prensibi, bu geniş kapsamlı Davutlar ziyaretiyle bir kez daha sahaya yansıtılmış oldu.

A CAMPAIGN FOR CHANGE AND SERVICE IN DAVUTLAR.

Speaking during the visit to Davutlar, Tahsin Demirtaş, Acting Mayor of Kuşadası said;

 “Under Mayor Ömer Günel’s vision, we have implemented an unprecedented investment drive here in our Davutlar district. Through our ‘Service-Oriented Local Government’ approach, we have completely renovated 8 streets and 78 lanes in just the past year, providing our district with a modern road network spanning 210,000 square metres. We did not stop at just building roads; through the landscaping, automatic irrigation systems and modern lighting we have installed on our main thoroughfares such as Cengiz Topel and Menderes, we have transformed the face of Davutlar. We have not forgotten our animal friends either; with the Davutlar Cat Treatment and Neutering Centre we have established in the area, we are caring for our stray animals under the most modern conditions. We have no intention of stopping in the 2025–2026 period. With the additional 17,000 square metres of road works planned for the new phases and further enhancements to the urban aesthetic, we will continue to make Davutlar the shining star of Kuşadası.’
