As Kuşadası Municipality, we built a beautiful facility. Zero waste certificate is an important document. In the modern age, recycling and separating waste are very important due to environmental cleanliness. From now on, our garbage will not just be thrown away, it will be sorted. This process will also be done under license. It is very important for us to be one of the first municipalities to receive a license. "I wish good luck to our municipality and our people," he said.

“KUŞADASI IS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS CITY”

Kuşadası Municipality Cleaning Affairs Manager Ceylan Sarıgöl touched upon the importance of districts obtaining a zero waste certificate within the scope of the zero waste regulation and said, “Kuşadası is one of the environmentally sensitive cities. We try to do what the laws and regulations require from us. Within the scope of the zero waste regulation, all districts are required to obtain a zero waste certificate. Zero waste means separating all waste. The aim is to primarily reduce waste, by separating and recycling all waste, and to minimize our household waste, which is wasted and goes to landfill underground. One of the things we had to do in order to obtain a zero waste certificate was to establish our waste collection center. The waste collection center will operate open to the public. Our people will be able to bring their waste 5 days a week during working hours. We will receive the waste and process it into the system. As Kuşadası Municipality, we will collect the waste in our center and dispose of it appropriately, without charging any fee from our people. We are the second waste collection center to receive approval and license in Aydın. "This is a source of pride for us," he said.

In the center, which will ensure the correct separation of waste with the aim of an environmentally friendly city, the waste that the city residents separate at home and bring to the center will be received and recycled during working hours on weekdays. Wastes, which will be collected in 16 categories including hazardous materials, bulky, construction, paper, metal, plastic, glass, electronics, textile, wood, lamp, medicine, oil, battery, lead battery, mixed packaging, will then be sorted and disposed of in the appropriate manner. will be transformed accordingly. In addition, waste that remains in nature for a long time and causes pollution will be disposed of free of charge.
