LIBRARY AND BOOK CAFE BRINGS THE LOVE OF READING TO KUŞADANS OF ALL AGES

The Library and Book Cafe, opened by Kuşadası Municipality on the third floor of Güler Aydın Süzgeç Social Facility within the Cafer Kotan Life Park in İkiçeşmelik District, continues to attract great interest from young people and children. The Library and Book Café, which has registered 924 members since its opening, also contributes to the culture of solidarity by using hanging books and toys.

Kuşadası Municipality continues to provide equal reading opportunities, necessary materials and suitable places to all citizens living in the city, under the leadership of Mayor Ömer Günel, who is appreciated for his investments and projects in all areas of education. In this context, the Library and Book Cafe, which was opened within the Güler Aydın Süzgeç Social Facility located in Cafer Kotan Life Park, quickly became the favorite of Kuşadalı residents of all ages, especially primary and secondary school students. In the library, which draws attention with its hygienic, quiet and suitable environment for reading and studying, as well as offering the opportunity to borrow books, the total number of books reached 4 thousand 596 with the donations made every month. In the library, books and toys collected with donations from donors are shared with children and students in need.

FREE INTERNET, PHOTOCOPIING AND PRINTING SERVICE

Users who can easily do their homework and research on 8 computers with free internet access in the library are also offered the opportunity to photocopy and print 5 pages per day. The Library and Book Cafe, which serves Kuşadası residents of all ages, can be visited between 08.30 and 17.30 on weekdays.

Abdullah Buldandı, who came to the Library and Book Cafe to donate books, stated that the library is a great opportunity, especially for young people and children. Buldandı said, “I came to the library today to deliver the books donated by my friend and I liked them very much. Opening such a library in İkiçeşmelik District was very beneficial. It has become a space where young people and children, especially those who do not have the opportunity to study at home, can spend their time productively, and adults can improve themselves by drinking tea, coffee and reading books. "I would like to thank Mayor Ömer Günel and Kuşadası Municipality for bringing the library to our city," he said.

9-year-old Havva Su Günen, who has preferred the Library and Book Cafe to do homework and read books since it was opened, thanked Mayor Ömer Günel for the opportunities it offered and said, “I was very happy when the library opened in our neighborhood. Before I came here, I didn't like reading very much, but as I spent time here, I started to love books. I think everyone should love the library and come. "I love our library very much and I thank our President Ömer Günel very much," he said.
