MARITIME AND CABOTAGE FESTIVAL IS CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM IN KUŞADASI

July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Festival, which was postponed due to Eid al-Adha, started to be celebrated with various events in Kuşadası. The celebrations, which feature colorful and enthusiastic moments, will continue with events held in different parts of the city.

A ceremony was held at the Atatürk Monument in Kuşadası, within the scope of the 97th anniversary celebrations of July 1 Maritime and Cabotage Day. Kuşadası Port Deputy Mayor Önder Eyigün, Kuşadası Coast Guard Station Commander Major Özgür Lafçı, Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Maritime Department Head Barış Tarım, Kuşadası Police Deputy Chief Rasim Demirelli and representatives of various non-governmental organizations attended the ceremony. The ceremony, which started with laying a wreath on the Atatürk Monument by Kuşadası Port Deputy Mayor Önder Eyigün, continued with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Later, Kuşadası District Governor Sadettin Yücel and the accompanying protocol members went to the sea with a tugboat from the Aegean Port and symbolically laid flowers in memory of the martyrs. The events, which feature colorful images, will continue with competitions and shows to be held in Güvercinada, as well as exhibitions to be held throughout the day.
