MAYOR ÖMER GÜNEL BROUGHT THE FAKE RELATIVE LIE TO THE JUDICIARY AFTER THOSE OF THE FAKE ACCOUNTS

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel also brought the allegations of “fake relatives” to the judiciary after the news and shares containing lies, slander, and defamations from fake social media accounts.

In a column in a local newspaper published in Aydın, it was claimed that Mayor Ömer Günel has a brother named Hasan Günel and that the said “imaginary brother” responded on behalf of Mayor Ömer Günel to Atilla Taş, known for his song “Ham Çökelek”. Mayor Ömer Günel, who made a criminal complaint about the column, said;

“Fake accounts were not enough, now they are trying their luck with imaginary fake relatives. This shows how much fear and anxiety they are in.”

Pointing out that they are determined not to remain silent in the face of the unrealistic allegations made about his person, Kuşadası Municipality and his colleagues, Mayor Ömer Günel added;

““It is clear that our efforts to serve our city in the best way and to be worthy of the trust of our fellow citizens have made someone lose sleep. The people in question, who saw that their unreal sharing from fake accounts did not have the effect they wanted, are now in an effort to damage my reputation by creating imaginary characters. As we have done so far, we will not remain silent against such allegations aimed at defamation and we will continue our legal struggle.”
