TEAMS ON THE FIELD 24/7 FOR A BRIGHT KUSADASI PRESIDENT ÖMER GÜNEL “CITY HYGIENE IS OUR PRIORITY”

Kuşadası Municipality has increased the cleaning and improvement works carried out in the stream bed passing through the city center in order to prevent the bad smell that may occur with the increase in air temperatures.

Continuing its work with the aim of creating a cleaner city, Kuşadası Municipality, in addition to the cleaning and hygiene works it carries out regularly, has intensified the cleaning and improvement works in the stream beds under the instructions of Mayor Ömer Günel. The stream bed passing through the city center was cleaned within the scope of the work carried out by the teams of Kuşadası Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate, who work on a 24/7 basis in 23 neighborhoods of the city. As a result of the work carried out to prevent the bad odor that may arise due to increasing air temperatures, the stream bed was cleared of sand, mud, algae and packaging waste and washed with pressurized water.

Mayor Ömer Günel drew attention to the importance of urban hygiene and said, “We continue to increase our cleaning efforts these days when the air temperatures are increasing. In addition to stream improvement works, our teams affiliated with the Cleaning Works Directorate continue their cleaning works within the determined program in avenues, alleys, parks and green areas throughout the city. Our teams also regularly disinfect children's playgrounds, benches and all garbage containers in the parks with special solutions. Ensuring the hygiene of our city, where the daily population exceeds 1.5 million during the tourism season, is of great importance in protecting the health of both our citizens and our visitors. "Cleanliness and hygiene are always our priority," he said.
