Especially young people show great interest in the park, which has a basketball court built in accordance with the standards of the International Basketball Federation.

Lawyer Doğa Tokuçoğlu Park in the Kadın Denizi District, which was brought to the city by Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel in order to contribute to the physical development of young people by encouraging them to do sports, has become a frequent destination for those who are fond of street basketball. The park, which has a night-lit basketball court that meets the standards of the International Basketball Federation, hosts young people who come together to play basketball every day.

TOURNAMENTS WILL BE HELD

Young people in Turkey, who left the living room in the 90s, merged with the street culture and enjoyed basketball, which was also the game of the streets, also found the opportunity to socialize by making new friends. The park, which also includes urban furniture and pergolas, also has different sports equipment. Lawyer Doğa Tokuçoğlu Park will host basketball tournaments at certain times of the year.

Stating that they have felt the lack of a park where they could do sports in Kuşadası for many years, Fuat Vargün said, “Thanks to Lawyer Doğa Tokuçoğlu Park, this longing of ours is now over. The basketball court here has a very good ground. The best part for us is that the field has night lighting. In this way, we have the chance to play basketball in the evening. "I would like to thank our President Ömer Günel for building such a beautiful park that is like a sports facility for our city," he said.

Stating that he loves playing basketball, university student Ata Akbaşlı said, “It is great for us that the number of areas where we can do sports in Kuşadası is increasing day by day. The location of the park towards residential areas is also very well adjusted. "It is very enjoyable to play basketball in this park at any time of the day," he said.
