'TOUCHING NOTHING' AT ADA MODERN ART GALLERY

Ada Modern Art Gallery started to host the exhibition "Touching Nothingness" by painter Necmettin Özlü. The exhibition, which includes the abstract paintings of the artist, who has personal exhibitions both at home and abroad, can be viewed free of charge until September 8.

The painting exhibition titled 'Touching Nothingness' by artist Necmettin Özlü was opened with a cocktail at the Ada Modern Art Gallery, which was established in cooperation with Kuşadası Municipality and Kuşadası Altın Güvercin Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV). Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Seyfi Seyhan Suvari, Deputy Mayor Yusuf Atak, KUSAV President Levent Köylü, painter Necmettin Özlü and exhibition curator İbrahim Karaoğlu attended the opening of the exhibition along with many guests. The exhibition, which makes references to the fragility and finitude of human life through nothingness, consists of the artist's abstract paintings. The works of Necmettin Özlü, who has held personal exhibitions at home and abroad and participated in many group exhibitions, can be viewed at Ada Modern Art Gallery until September 8.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, KUSAV President Levent Köylü said, “Ada Modern Art Gallery brought you a very special artist today. The curator of the exhibition, İbrahim Karaoğlu, said in his manifesto for the exhibition: “For some, nothingness evokes darkness and emptiness. However, according to Özlü; It is a concept that remains hidden from the reality that surrounds us and is questioned within the painting. Maybe it questions the restlessness of emptiness and darkness within us. Emptiness is a feeling that disappears within us as we feel the images and poems we encounter in the depths of the paintings. These paintings welcome us at a threshold where we meet ourselves, with a new way of seeing, with the shine of associations; makes the forms read through new meanings; Beyond is nothingness. Each painting creates a symphonic harmony, completing the entire exhibition with its own inherent values. The secret of each of his paintings wanders within the other. He makes references to the fragility and finitude of human life through nothingness. His works contain signs, dreams and thoughts specific to him; It's like a big dictionary created with a wealth of unique images. "And everything inside is sealed with his inspirations, his soul and his personality," he said.
