VICTORY DAY EXCITEMENT IN KUŞADASI

The 101st anniversary of 30 August Victory Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Kuşadası.

The celebration program started with the congratulations acceptance ceremony held at the District Governor's Office at 09.30 in the morning. The celebrations then continued with the official ceremony held in Atatürk Square. To the ceremony; Kuşadası District Governor Sadettin Yücel, Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, deputy mayors, civil and administrative chiefs working in the district, representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations and citizens attended.

At the ceremony, after District Governor Sadettin Yücel and Mayor Ömer Günel laid a wreath at the Atatürk Monument, a moment of silence was observed and the National Anthem was sung. The speech expressing the meaning and importance of the day was made by Chief of the Military Service Branch and Deputy Garrison Commander, Lieutenant Bekir Sabancı. The program ended with folk dance performances, students reading poems and a parade.

Victory Day celebrations in the city will continue with the Manga concert, which will be organized by Kuşadası Municipality at 21.00 this evening at İsmail Cem Friendship and Peace Square.
