Dilek Peninsula-Büyük Menderes Delta National Park is a botanical garden where almost all plants spreading on the coasts from the Mediterranean to the Caucasus are naturally seen together; It has a mountainous land with its birds of prey and wild animals and the underwater riches surrounding it, and on the other hand, a delta with hundreds of bird species and rich fish varieties, and historical and cultural riches surrounding all of these. 209 bird species can be seen in this rich ecosystem. The region is also one of the most important incubation areas for the endangered Dalmatian Pelican. In addition, the Pygmy Cormorant, which is also endangered worldwide, also lives here.

Due to its unique biological diversity, Dilek Peninsula has also been accepted as a "Flora Biogenetic Reserve Area" by the European Council.
