Zeus Cave is within the borders of today's Güzelçamlı, which was the meeting center (Panionion) of the 12 city-states of the Ionian Federation in ancient times.

Zeus Cave, located in a very important ancient center, took its name from Zeus, the God of the Sky in mythology. In mythology, it is said that Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, became beautiful by swimming in the Cave of Zeus. According to another legend, Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, stopped by the cave during her journey from Samos Island to Ephesus and bathed in the cave water. For this reason, it is believed that the water of the Zeus Cave has a beautifying effect on women's skin.

Zeus, the God of the Sky, would take shelter, rest and wash in this cave to escape the wrath of his brother Poseidon and wait for him to calm down.

The cave, which looks like a natural pond in the rock, is approximately 60 meters long, 20 meters wide and approximately 10 meters deep. The average temperature is 5 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Cave water comes from the rocks by leakage and changes slowly. The cave is quite cool in summer and warm in winter. There are no living creatures in the cave water, and the water is bland and tasteless.

If you are brave enough to be a part of mythology, Zeus Cave awaits you with all its natural splendor and legendary environment.
