APRIL 23 NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY AND CHILDREN'S DAY WAS CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM IN KUŞADASI

April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Kuşadası. The program, which started with the laying of a wreath at the Atatürk Monument in the morning, was highly appreciated with the colourful shows performed by the students.

 The 105th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) and the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, a gift from Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to all children around the world, were celebrated with enthusiasm in Kuşadası. In this context, the program began with the laying of a wreath by District Head of National Education İbrahim Ataman at the Atatürk Monument on the beach at 09:30 in the morning, and continued with an official ceremony.

 The official ceremony was attended by Kuşadası District Governor İbrahim Keklik, Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, administrative officers working in the city, representatives of political parties and civil society organizations and many people of Kuşadası. After a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, District Governor İbrahim Keklik and Mayor Ömer Günel congratulated the students who came from schools throughout the city and attended the ceremony. The folk dances and various shows performed by the students and schools were appreciated by the protocol members.

Speaking at the ceremony, District National Education Director İbrahim Ataman said;

“Today, we are simultaneously experiencing the 105th anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, where our national will, strengthened by the sense of national unity and solidarity, is represented, and the joy of the Children's Day, which the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk presented to our children, the guarantors of our future. Children are the future of a nation. We will continue to celebrate April 23 as Children's Day as an expression of our unwavering trust and great love for them.”
