ADVANCED AND SAFE DRIVING TRAINING WAS GIVEN TO MOTORCYCLE ENTHUSIASTS IN KUŞADASI

Deniz Riding Academy, Kuşadası Motorcycle and Motor Sports Club and Kuşadası Municipality organized the ‘Motorcycle Advanced and Safe Driving Theory Training’.in Kuşadası. In the program, which was held in two sessions, Deniz Riding Academy instructor Aybars Yüce gave information to the participants about what to pay attention to when riding a motorcycle and safe driving techniques.
The training hosted by Pera Wedding, Culture and Organization Centre attracted great interest. The theoretical training, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours, was carried out with the colourful narration of Aybars Yüce, a Class A Instructor of the Turkish Motorcycle Federation (TMF) and founder of Deniz Riding Academy. In the training, Aybars Yüce provided detailed information to the participants under the titles of ‘motorcycles and risks in the environment,’ ‘correct look and sitting while riding a motorcycle,’ ‘importance of equipment used,’ ‘helmet types,’ ‘systematic and safe riding techniques,’ ‘motorcycle and tire maintenance’ and ‘selective perception.’ In the training, which was also supported by slides and videos projected on the screen, Aybars Yüce emphasized that riding a motorcycle was not dangerous if traffic rules were followed.
“UNFORTUNATELY, MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT COUNTED AS VEHICLES IN TRAFFIC”
Aybars Yüce, who stated that motorcycles were not seen as vehicles by drivers using cars and other vehicles in traffic, said;
“Motorcycle accidents and related deaths occur much more in our country compared to other countries. The most important reason for this is that motorcycles are unfortunately not considered as vehicles in traffic. However, motorcyclists share the same road with other drivers. If everyone who uses vehicles in traffic obeys the rules, we can reduce accidents to the minimum level. My biggest advice to motorcycle drivers is to use the right equipment to protect themselves and to go out on traffic with a well-maintained motorcycle.”
“BIKER-FRIENDLY CITY KUSADASI”
Deniz Riding Academy Kuşadası instructor Naci Tahtacı said;
“The most important reason for organizing this training is the increase in motorcycle use in touristic areas like Kuşadası, especially during the summer months. Kuşadası has rapidly become a biker-friendly city during the term of our Mayor Ömer Günel. For example, while the roads have been made more suitable for motorcycle riders, warning signs that say ‘be aware of motorcyclists’ have been placed at different points of the city. Today, our training is being hosted by Kuşadası Municipality.”
“THEY ARE MORE RELAXED ABROAD”
Simay Kaya, who has been riding a motorcycle in Kuşadası for about 10 years, said;
“First of all, it was a very useful training for me. I would like to thank everyone who contributed. I get squeezed a lot by other drivers while driving in traffic. This distracts me. Riding a motorcycle in Türkiye is sometimes really difficult. When I watch videos from abroad, I see that motorcyclists are much more relaxed.”
