AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY ON APRIL 23 FOR THE CHILDEN BY KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY
National Sovereignty and Children’s Day on 23 April was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement in Kuşadası, just as it was throughout the country. As part of the celebrations, the festival organised by Kuşadası Municipality to share in the festive spirit provided the children with an unforgettable day.
Kuşadası Municipality organised a children’s festival at the Ada Cultural Centre to mark the celebrations for 23 April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. The festival, held to share in the children’s festive joy, attracted a large crowd. Children who attended the festival with their parents played street games such as nine stones, handkerchief tag, tug-of-war, skipping, flag tag, sack race, carrying an egg on a spoon, hopscotch and dodgeball, and had a wonderful time. With stage shows, magic performances, mascots, inflatable play areas and face painting activities, the children experienced unforgettable moments at the festival.
“OUR MOST PRECIOUS TREASURE”
Tahsin Demirtaş, Acting Mayor of Kuşadası, also visited the festival grounds with his family. Chatting at length with the children and their families, Acting Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş said;
“First and foremost, I would like to wish all children a happy 23 April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. On this holiday, which Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk bestowed upon all children worldwide, we at Kuşadası Municipality have organised a celebration for all our children. We were delighted to see them enjoying themselves at the celebration, which we held in keeping with the spirit and significance of 23 April. Our children are our most precious treasure.”
