"WE OWE OUR CONTEMPORARY POETRY TO THE REPUBLIC"

Referring to the importance of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, master writer Ataol Behramoğlu said, "It is difficult to understand Turkish Literature." Especially in the Ottoman Period, literature could not reach the society because the written language and spoken language were different. In this respect, as a poet, I think we owe our contemporary poetry to the Republic. The people met with literature after the Republic. We must always protect the Republic. "I would like to thank Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel for bringing us together with you," he said.

At the end of the program, which continued with Ataol Behramoğlu's signature event, Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Vedat Kazancıoğlu gave a plaque of appreciation to the master writers of literature.
