CHILDREN FROM NUSAYBIN MET THE SEA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN KUŞADASI

Kuşadası Municipality hosted students studying at the Mardin Nusaybin Child Development Center's summer schools for the eighth time this year. The children, who visited Kuşadası's historical and touristic sites, also had the opportunity to swim in the sea for the first time.

Forty children from Nusaybin, aged 7 to 14, visited the city with Nusaybin Child Development Center Project Coordinator Şehmus Ak. They first visited Kuşadası Municipality where they were welcomed by Kuşadası Deputy Mayors Çağlayan Erdem and Seyfi Seyhan Suvari, Municipal Council Member Hamza Kürkçü, and head of executive secretariat Şebnem Şenol Kars. The children were presented with various gifts on behalf of Mayor Ömer Günel and thanked the Kuşadası Municipality for hosting them.

Following their visit to the municipality, the students visited the Historical Caravanserai, Güvercinada Castle, and the Maritime Trade History Museum as part of a cultural tour organized for them, and were finally hosted at Ada Camping to enjoy the sea, sand, and sun. The children, who entered the sea for the first time in their lives, stated that they were very well-received and had a wonderful time, and thanked Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel for the unforgettable experience.
