COASTAL AND SEA CLEANING WAS CARRIED OUT IN KUŞADASI WITHIN THE SCOPE OF 22ND APRIL EARTH DAY’

As part of ‘April 22 Earth Day’, volunteers carried out coastal and sea cleaning at Nötestik Beach in Yavansu District in Kuşadası. 307 kilograms of waste were collected during the environmental event which lasted approximately 2 hours.

The coastal and sea cleaning was carried out with the support of Kuşadası Municipality and in cooperation with Kiwi Watersports, Dive Center and Tema All Stars Diving. In the cleaning event, volunteers, including professional divers, collected a total of 307 kilograms of waste, including mobile phones, beach umbrellas, chairs, car tires, glass and plastic bottles from Nötestik Beach and the seabed.

The General Coordinator of the event, Kubilay Akgür, said;

“As activists and volunteers, we are here to celebrate the beauty and liveliness of the world, as well as to draw attention to the environmental pollution it faces. We invite everyone to be more sensitive towards the environment and nature.”
