EXCITEMENT IS AT ITS HIGHEST IN THE 26TH GOLDEN GÜVECİN COMPOSITION COMPETITION

THE PRELIMINARY JURY DETERMINES THE COMPOSITIONS THAT WILL MAKE THEIR NAMES MADE IN THE FINAL

The preliminary jury of the Golden Pigeon Composition Competition, which is preparing to meet music lovers for the 26th time this year in Kuşadası, gathered in Istanbul. As a result of the technical and musical evaluations to be made over three days, 10 compositions and 2 spare compositions that will make it to the finals will be determined by the preliminary jury.

Excitement has reached its peak in Turkey's first and only composition competition, Altın Güvercin, which will be held for the 26th time this year in cooperation with Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, Kuşadası Municipality and Kuşadası Altın Güvercin Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV). The Preliminary Jury, consisting of valuable music authorities for the competition to which 291 compositions were applied, came together at Istanbul Point Hotel to determine the ones that will make it to the final among the 155 compositions that passed the selection of the Selection Committee. The Preliminary Jury was presided over by Altın Güvercin Composition Competition Coordinator and producer Ali Rıza Türker, along with guitarist, composer and music instructor Ahmet Güvenç, composer, songwriter and performer Burhan Şeşen, composer, songwriter and performer Cihannur Özgür, Altın Güvercin Grand Orchestra Conductor Hakan. Süersan and arranger and MESAM Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Selim Çaldıran are present.

For 3 days, the Preliminary Jury will examine all the compositions, regardless of amateur or professional, in terms of their superiority over each other, and select 10 works and 2 reserve works that will make it to the finals. The finalists will be announced on Saturday, August 5. Then, 10 works will perform live in front of the grand jury on the final night of the Golden Pigeon Composition Competition. In the 26th Kuşadası Golden Pigeon Composition Competition, which will end with the grand finale, the first-place composer will receive a Golden Pigeon and 100 thousand lira cash prize, the second-place composer will receive a Silver Pigeon and 50 thousand lira cash prize, and the third-place composer will receive a Bronze Pigeon and 25 thousand lira prize money. Prize money will be given. The Most Successful Commentator Award will also be awarded within the scope of the competition.
