The second day of the International Cretans Festival, organized for the 11th time this year by Kuşadası Municipality and Cretans Federation (GIRITFED), witnessed colorful events. At the festival, which was held with great enthusiasm in the historical Caravanserai, guests were served delicacies unique to Crete. The dance figures performed at the festival, which was enlivened with the melodies played by musical groups from Crete, brought the excitement to its peak.

The International Cretans Festival, held for the 11th time this year in Kuşadası, the city of festivals, continues with great enthusiasm. Colorful events were held in the Historical Caravanserai on the second day of the festival, which started yesterday with the opening of the 'Cretan Culture, Friendship and Solidarity Association' in Davutlar District. In this context, first of all, the photography exhibition titled 'Exchange Photographs' was opened. Afterwards, local dances specific to Crete were performed by the Cretan folklore team. There was a festive atmosphere at the festival, which was enlivened with the melodies played by musical groups from Greece. The documentary film titled 'Cretan Lemon Tree', which was screened at the festival, gave the participants emotional moments from time to time.

CHP Aydın Deputy Evrim Karakoz, Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, deputy mayors, council members, Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Western Regional Coordinator Fatih Akkentli, GİRİTFED President Yunus Çengel, Mudanya Lausanne Exchanges President Hüseyin Türker and many people from different regions of Turkey attended the events. Cretan participated.

CRETIAN TASTES CRACKED THE PALATE

The flavor stands established on the second day of the International Cretans Festival attracted great attention. Participants tasted Cretan style Şevketi Bostan, artichoke and pumpkin dessert prepared under the consultancy of Kuşadası Chefs Association. Famous television programmer Vahe Kılıçarslan also visited the stands with delicious delicacies and interviewed citizens.

The second day of the events, where the talk titled "A Story of Migration: Crete and Cretans" was held at İbramaki Art Gallery, in which Tuncay Ercan Sepetçioğlu participated as a speaker, ended with the concert of Göknur Onur, who took the stage after the DJ performance. The International Cretans Festival, organized for the 11th time this year by Kuşadası Municipality and Cretans Federation (GIRITFED), will continue with various events to be held on Sevgi Beach in Davutlar District on Sunday, June 25th.
