Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel reacted very harshly to the AKP council members who voted against the proposal to celebrate the districts' liberation days from enemy occupation in the second session of the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality August Council Meeting.

Mayor Ömer Günel said, “AKP Municipal Council members, who talk about being 'local and national' at every opportunity, have once again demonstrated their insincerity in national feelings, as in every issue, by voting against the celebration of the liberation days of our districts in our Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Council today. The days of liberation from enemy occupation are our national holidays. "We will continue to celebrate our liberation days with our people in the most enthusiastic way today, just like yesterday and in the future," he said.
