KUSADASI MUNICIPAL POLICE TEAMS CONDUCT PAVEMENT OCCUPATION INSPECTIONS

INSPECTIONS ARE WELCOMED BY ALL
Kuşadası Municipality continues its occupation inspections throughout the city without a break to make the sidewalks easier to use. The inspections are welcomed by tradesmen and Kuşadası residents.
Kuşadası Municipal Police Department teams have increased their inspections to prevent businesses from occupying the sidewalks which the pedestrians and disabled individuals have the right to use. In this context, the teams conducted an inspection in Davutlar District after conducting the same in the city centre. During the inspection, items such as billboards, pennants, flags, iron barriers, tires, flower pots, tables, billboards and chairs on the roads and sidewalks were collected. Posters which caused environmental and visual pollution were also removed. During the inspection, which lasted approximately two hours, the collected materials were loaded onto a truck belonging to Kuşadası Municipality and taken to the Municipal Cleaning Works Department, while various warnings were given to business owners. During the inspection, warning announcements were also made for motorcycles and cars which had parked on the sidewalks despite this being prohibited.
“I SUPPORT IT UNTIL THE END”
The inspection carried out by Kuşadası Municipal Police Department also received full marks from tradesmen and local people. Taner Yener, who runs a men's hairdresser in Davutlar District, said;
"I find the application very correct and as a tradesman I fully support it. Because pedestrians and disabled people cannot really use the sidewalks on some streets due to the materials placed on them."
Serkan Kıymık said;
“The population of Kuşadası is increasing especially during the summer months. For this reason, the frequency of use of sidewalks in touristic spots is also increasing. I sometimes see mothers with baby strollers having a hard time walking on sidewalks. I congratulate Kuşadası Municipality for this application.”
Davutlar Mukhtar Erol Yağcıoğlu also said,
“First of all, every tradesman here is very sensitive about occupation. However, sometimes there can be an increase in the number of materials placed on the sidewalks. In such cases, our municipal police teams prevent such occupation with regular inspections. The right to use the sidewalks always belongs to pedestrians.”
