KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY DID NOT HURT CONSERVATORY STUDENTS

Kuşadası Municipality has extended the allocation period for the Historical Caravanserai, which is offered to the use of Adnan Menderes University (ADÜ) State Conservatory, until February 2022. Conservatory students, who will continue their education on the upper floor of Kervansaray until the end of June, will welcome the 2022-2023 academic year in its new building to be built by Kuşadası Municipality.

Speaking at the meeting, President Ömer Günel stated that he was very happy that ADÜ State Conservatory was located in Kuşadası and that he wished it to stay, and said, "Since the day we took office, Kuşadası should be not only a tourism city, but also a culture-art and tourism city. we say. At this point, we also attach great importance to music and strive to ensure that our city is remembered with the theme of music. Today, we even designed the garden fences on Sevgi Street using musical notes. In many places, we shape sculpture-related works with music. We are trying to carry out the jazz and music days that we started in Güvercinada with the support of our University. We support our children and this support will continue to grow. Today, Kuşadası still hosts Turkey's first and only composition competition. In today's world where personal experiences and different demands come to the fore, a tourism approach has become dominant. We attach great importance to having the Conservatory in our city. And of course, most importantly, we do not want our children to keep moving from place to place. Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk Aldemir said that as a result of their meetings with President Ömer Günel, they reached a consensus that ADÜ State Conservatory, which is currently using the upper floor of the Historical Caravanserai, will continue its education life in the same place until the end of June. Stating that the construction of an additional building will begin in a short time, Prof. Dr. Osman Selçuk Aldemir said, “I would also like to thank our president. He always took responsibility and did not spare his support. We reached this decision by pushing all the resources of the municipality. We had a dream of a separate conservatory building from the first day. "We will implement this as soon as possible," he said.

Prof. Dr. Mayor Ömer Günel, who took the floor once again after Osman Selçuk Aldemir, stated that the Caravanserai is a place rented from the General Directorate of Foundations and said: "This historical building, which is of great importance for our city, has a boutique hotel on the upper floor and food and beverage units on the lower floor." We want to bring Kuşadası tourism as a place where it is located. However, we decided to postpone this project for another year so that our children do not suffer. "I hope that my teacher and I will cut the ribbon of the Conservatory building in September 2022," he said.
