KUSADASI MUNICIPALITY PROVIDED AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY FOR THE CHILDREN OF NUSAYBIN

Kuşadası Municipality hosted 50 children studying at Nusaybin Child Development Center's summer schools. The happiness of the children who had the opportunity to swim in the sea for the first time in their lives was worth seeing.

Kuşadası Municipality hosted the students studying at Mardin Nusaybin Child Development Center's summer schools for the 6th time this year. Children between the ages of 7 and 14 who came to visit the city were welcomed by Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Oğuzhan Turan and Kuşadası Municipality Private Secretary Ömer Cevat Göğez. Accompanied by Nusaybin Child Development Center Project Coordinator Şehmus Ak, Vice President Oğuzhan Turan gave various gifts to the children on behalf of Mayor Ömer Günel. The students, who received education in the courses opened by Nusaybin Child Development Center in various branches, then visited Güvercinada Castle, the symbol of Kuşadası, accompanied by Ersin Serçek, Art History Expert from the Kuşadası Municipality Directorate of Culture, and learned about the history of the castle, which dates back to the 13th century. Then, the students had lunch with a view of Kuşadası and were finally hosted at Ada Camping in Davutlar District to enjoy the sea, sand and sun. Children from Nusaybin, who went to the sea for the first time in their lives, thanked Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel for providing them with such an opportunity.

12-year-old Ekrem Ergin, who came to Kuşadası within the scope of the project, stated that he liked Kuşadası very much and said, "I loved Kuşadası very much. The sea is very beautiful. When I return to Nusaybin, I will tell all my friends that I went swimming and they will all be very happy for us. My friends there would also love to swim in the sea. It is a great thing to come here from Nusaybin and swim in the sea. We saw such great places and visited historical places. "We thank Kuşadası Municipality very much," he said.

Saying that he had a great time in Kuşadası, 13-year-old Mirza Acar said, “Kuşadası was very beautiful. I went to the sea for the first time. This is where I learned for the first time that the sea is salty. It was very difficult for us to come here from Nusaybin. "I would like to thank both our teacher Şehmus and Kuşadası Municipality and Mayor Ömer Günel for hosting us here," he said.

Mardin Nusaybin Child Development Center General Coordinator Şehmus Ak said, “We came to Kuşadası for the 6th time from Mardin's Nusaybin district within the scope of this project we implemented for the social and cultural development of our children. We are very happy that our children in the region are swimming for the first time and enjoying the sea. It is a great happiness for me to witness their happiness. "I hope they will always be this happy," he said.
