Kuşadası Municipality continues its park construction and renovation works in order to increase green areas in the city. In this context, renovation works of the park named after Bülent Ecevit, one of Turkey's former prime ministers, have started.

The work carried out by Kuşadası Municipality with the aim of "A Greener Environment" continues uninterruptedly. Parks and Gardens Directorate teams, which have added 43 new park areas to the city in the last 2.5 years, are also renewing existing parks. Recently, the teams started renovation works in Bülent Ecevit Park, which is built on an area of 1,800 square meters on Güvercianda Street.

SEA-FRONT LOCATION WAS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION

Within the scope of the work initiated by taking into account the seaside location of Bülent Ecevit Park, the park's automatic irrigation systems, lighting and seating groups will be completely renewed. A 309 meter long wall will be built around the park using natural stones suitable for the urban texture. The children's playground will be increased to 379 square meters and a new playground with rubber-coated floors will be installed. A new statue modeled after a well-known image of Bülent Ecevit will also be erected in the park. One of the 'Dove' themed sculptures carved at the International Neopolis Sculpture Symposium will also be placed in the park.

BIRDS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

Trees, bushes and ground cover plants will also be planted in Bülent Ecevit Park, where 6 bird waterers, 3 bird houses and 2 bird feeders will be built for the birds that have the opportunity to live and feed in the park. Pedestrian paths will also be covered with granite and basalt stones, and the grass area in the park will be increased to 825 square meters. With the work carried out by the Parks and Gardens Directorate while preserving its green texture, Bülent Ecevit Park will have a much more modern and aesthetic appearance in a short time. Children will play happily in the park where blue and green will be together.
