PARTICIPANTS OF THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL KUŞADASI NEOPOLIS SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM HAVE BEEN DETERMINED

Kuşadası Municipality will participate in the International Kuşadası Neopolis Sculpture Symposium, which will be held for the 4th time this year, in cooperation with Kuşadası Altın Güvencin Culture Art and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV), Mehmet Nuri Göçen Culture Education and Art Foundation (MN Göçen Foundation) and ARYA A.Ş. sculptors were determined.

In its first year of organization, it will be held with the theme of 'Kuşadası' in 2020, 'right to life' in 2021, 'music' last year, and 'peace and freedom' this year, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic between 11 September and 20 October. 228 sculptors from 40 countries applied to the International Kuşadası Neopolis Sculpture Symposium. Following the completion of the application process, the Selection Committee, convened under the chairmanship of Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, evaluated the sculpture projects included in the application files and determined 10 sculptors who will participate in the symposium.

As a result of the evaluation made by the Selection Committee, which included representatives of Kuşadası Municipality, KUSAV, MN Göçen Foundation and ARYA A.Ş. and the curators of the symposium, Özlem and Hakan Şengönül, Ahmad Solimani from Iran and Ivan from Georgia were selected for the 4th International Kuşadası Neopolis Sculpture Symposium. It was decided that Tsiskadze and Valerien Jikia, Alex Sorokin from Belarus, Hakan Şengönül, Songül Coşkun and İmdat Avcı from Turkey, Kirill Grekov from Estonia, Mariia Aprasidi from Russia and Lui Yang from China will participate.

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel stated that they are very happy to host the International Kuşadası Neopolis Sculpture Symposium, which was first held in 2020, for the fourth time and said, “This year, we determined our theme as peace and freedom, with the enthusiasm and pride of celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic. "The sculptures created by valuable artists who will be shaped with this theme will continue to decorate our city," he said.
