SPECIAL SCULPTURES DECORATE THE KUŞADASI BEACH FOR THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC

With the completion of the 4th Kuşadası International Neopolis Sculpture Symposium, which was organized this year in cooperation with Kuşadası Municipality, Kuşadası Golden Pigeon Culture Art and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV), Mehmet Nuri Göçen Culture Education and Art Foundation and ARYA A.Ş., sculptures with the theme of peace and freedom will be produced. It started to decorate the Kuşadası coastline.

The International Kuşadası Neopolis Sculpture Symposium, organized in Kuşadası with the theme of 'peace and freedom', dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic, has been completed. The symposium, curated by sculptors Hakan Şengönül and Özlem Şengönül, was attended by Ahmad Solimani from Iran, Ivan Tsiskadze and Valerien Jikia from Georgia, Alex Sorokin from Belarus, Hakan Şengönül, Songül Coşkun and İmdat Avcı from Turkey, Kirill Grekov from Estonia, Mariia Aprasidi from Russia, Lui Yang from China and two assistant sculptors participated.

The sculptures with the theme of "peace and freedom", which emerged after the sculptors carved marble blocks at an intense pace for 40 days, began to be exhibited on the coastline on Atatürk Boulevard. Art lovers visiting the exhibition area showed great interest in the works. Local and foreign tourists examined the statues and took many souvenir photos. Kuşadası Municipality's works, which emerged at the 4th International Kuşadası Neopolis Sculpture Symposium, will be permanently placed in different parts of the city in the coming months.

Pointing out that Kuşadası, the tourism capital of Turkey, has become more beautiful with art, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “We crowned the 100th anniversary of our Republic with art at the Neopolis Sculpture Symposium, which we held for the 4th time this year. Sculptors from all over the world came together for art in our city once again and created wonderful works of marble blocks. Artworks with the theme of "peace and freedom", two values that we have recently understood much better how meaningful and valuable they are for humanity, have taken their place on our beach. The works, which will be open to visitors throughout the year in the exhibition area, will then be placed in different parts of the city. "I would like to thank KUSAV, MN Göçen Foundation and ARYA A.Ş. for collaborating with us in such a meaningful organization," he said.
