KUŞADASI WILL SAY 'LIFE IS ON THE STREET' ONCE AGAIN

Kuşadası, the tourism capital of Turkey, will experience the Street Festival excitement for the second time this year. Gastronomy, music, art and entertainment will combine with the "street" concept and turn into a festival in Kuşadası between 28-30 July. This year, Kuşadası Street Festival will bring the rich gastronomy culture of the earthquake region to the city, as well as local flavors specific to the region. The income from ticket sales for flavor points to be established in different parts of Kuşadası will be transferred to earthquake victims.

The countdown has begun for the second Kuşadası Street Festival, Turkey's first festival organized with the "street" concept. Kuşadası Street Festival, which will be organized in cooperation with Kuşadası Municipality and Kuşadası Altın Güvercin Culture, Art and Promotion Foundation (KUSAV) and under the consultancy of Ayhan Sicimoğlu, will host "Taste on the Street", "Fun on the Street", "Music on the Street" and It will take place under the title of “Art on the Street”. Kuşadası Street Festival, which will host well-known street musicians, cooks, chefs, artists and dancers with a full 3-day program, will add great enthusiasm and color to the city.

Kuşadası Street Festival will start with a cortege march on Friday, July 28. After the walk, İsmail Cem will perform the songs of the popular music group KÖFN for the festival participants at Friendship and Peace Square. Within the scope of the festival, on Saturday night, July 29, Murat Karahan, Efe Kışlalı and Hakan Aysev, one of Turkey's most successful tenors, will take the stage with a concert called "3 Tenors" at İsmail Cem Dostluk and Barış Square.

TASTE POINTS AT 11 POINTS

Within the scope of Kuşadası Street Festival, taste stops will be established in 11 touristic points of the city. At each taste point, local dishes of 11 cities affected by the great earthquake disaster on February 6 will be served, as well as flavors specific to the Aegean and Kuşadası cuisine. With the tickets they will purchase, festival participants will be able to taste the dishes by participating in the flavor tours prepared under the consultancy of Adnan Menderes University Gastronomy Department and Kuşadası Professional Chefs Association. The income from ticket sales for the taste points will be transferred to support a soup kitchen to be selected in the earthquake region. Wooden cutlery sets and cardboard serving bowls will be used instead of plastic serving utensils in the tastings and workshops that will take place throughout the festival.

ALL STREETS WILL BE FESTIVAL AREAS

During the festival, street musicians will perform alternately on stages set up in 7 different locations in Kuşadası. During the festival, Samos Music and Dance Band, Rumeli Band, Kuşadası Roman Band, Aslıhan Parlak, Ege Kabalak Modern Meczup, Melih Gezmen, Vortex Musicus and Mete Çiftçi will meet with music lovers. Many events will also take place within the scope of the festival, such as workshops, pantomime, dance, acrobatics, flying living sculpture shows, mirror shows, interactive graffity performances and painting and photography exhibitions. On the last day of the festival, Sunday, July 29, ashura will be cooked in a 4-ton giant cauldron and served to the participants.

We are excited to organize the second edition of this organization, which we started with the aim of making it a tradition. In cooperation with KUSAV, we will host culture, art, entertainment and gastronomy enthusiasts with the Street Festival, which we will bring together in our city once again this year, in the light of Mr. Ayhan Sicimoğlu's valuable experiences. While our visitors will taste the delicious dishes of the Aegean and Kuşadası cuisine, they will also have the opportunity to try the dishes of 11 cities affected by the great earthquake disaster on February 6. The income from ticket sales for the taste points will be transferred to support a soup kitchen in the earthquake zone. They will also see the natural and historical beauties of our city, accompanied by street music performances, shows and concerts that will take place in central points.
