THE COUNTDOWN STARTS FOR DAVUTLAR CAT NEUTRALIZATION UNIT

There are only a few days left until the cat neutering and treatment unit, which was brought to Davutlar District by Kuşadası Municipality, opens its doors. With the unit’s opening, animal lovers will be able to neuter the cats they care for in their districtsand on the streets free of charge, by appointment.

The animal-friendly Kuşadası Municipality, which has adopted the principle of “neuter, vaccinate, let live in place” regarding stray animals, has taken another important step to protect the health of the its beloved pets living on the streets. Kuşadası Municipality, which has also brought a neutering and treatment centre for cats to Davutlar District after the one opened in the city centre, has made animal lovers happy again. The number of points providing free neutering services in the city has increased to 3 with the new unit brought to Davutlar District by Kuşadası Municipality, which works to prevent the uncontrolled reproduction of stray cats and to protect their health.

The unit, where 1 specialist veterinarian and 3 veterinary technicians will work, will perform an average of 20 cat neutering operations per day. The cat treatment centre within the unit has the capacity to treat 60 cats at the same time. The neutering and treatment centre, which will open its doors in 15 days, will provide treatment for cats living on the street, especially those injured and disabled due to traffic accidents. The centre will have orthopaedics and infection departments, as well as two operating rooms.

With the opening of the Neutering Centre located in the Kuşadası Municipality Davutlar Construction Site, free neutering services will be provided from 3 points of the city. Just like other cat neutering points, the Davutlar District Cat Neutering Unit will perform neutering operations of cats with great care and meticulousness with its hygienic environment, garden and animal-loving staff. City residents who call Güvercin Masa at 444 71 14 to make an appointment will be able to bring the cats they care for in their districts and on the streets to the Kuşadası Municipality Cat Neutering Centre and have them neutered free of charge.

Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, who visited the Davutlar District Cat Sterilization Unit and examined the work on site, drew attention to the importance of the sterilization work and said that the new unit, which will be opened in a short time, will also reduce the cat density in the city centre.
