THEY CONTINUE TO SAVE LIVES

KUSADASI BEACHES ARE ENJOYED TO LIFEGUARDS

Silver certified lifeguards working at the beaches operated by Arya Turistik Tesisleri A.Ş., a subsidiary of Kuşadası Municipality, are on guard against possible drowning cases throughout the summer season. Lifeguards, who regularly scan the sea with binoculars and jet skis, have saved 24 people from drowning since the beginning of the season, including the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday, which was extremely busy.

Turkey's tourism capital, Kuşadası, hosts hundreds of thousands of local and foreign tourists every year, thanks to its Blue Flag beaches and unique nature. There are 7 beaches in the city belonging to Arya A.Ş., which is the subsidiary of Kuşadası Municipality. Temperatures in Kuşadası reach an average of 35-40 degrees, causing visitors to swim in the sea. Lifeguards working at ARYA A.Ş., which continue their training throughout the year, take their places on the beaches with the start of the season and wait on guard to prevent possible drowning cases. Silver certified lifeguards, who also conduct regular rescue drills throughout the tourism season, regularly scan the sea with binoculars, boats and jet skis on the beaches where they work between 09:00 and 19:00. Holidaymakers can swim comfortably thanks to the lifeguards, who frequently make announcements with a megaphone and warn about the weather, waves or currents.

HOLIDAY WORKS WERE INTENSE

The population of Kuşadası reached approximately 2 million during the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday, with holidaymakers coming from metropolitan cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Tourists and daily visitors who chose Kuşadası for their holiday flocked to the beaches operated by Arya A.Ş. Lifeguards also worked intensively against drowning cases in the sea. Lifeguards have saved 24 people from drowning since the beginning of the season, including the holiday.

'CONSIDER THE WARNINGS WE MADE'

Tayfun Çelik, chief of the lifeguards, stated that those who swim in the sea should definitely pay attention to the warnings and said, “Human life is very important to us. We respond to any drowning incident as quickly as possible. In this sense, we can say that we are racing against time. We received all the necessary training. We also have full technical equipment. "As lifeguards, the only thing we want from citizens is to heed our warnings in situations where swimming may be dangerous," he said.
