Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Özgür Batçıoğlu made a statement following the posts on some social media accounts that Kuşadası Municipality did not collect the garbage in the bays in the Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes Delta National Park and the Zeus Cave. Deputy Mayor Özgür Batçıoğlu said in his statement: "Kuşadası Municipality does not have such a responsibility in the areas in question, in accordance with articles 94 and 95 of the tender specifications for the facilities in the National Park."

The statement of Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Özgür Batçıoğlu is as follows:

“Recently, we are sad to see posts on some social media accounts stating that Kuşadası Municipality does not collect the garbage in İçmeler, Aydınlık, Kavaklıburun and Karasu Bays and Zeus Cave in the National Park. As Kuşadası Municipality, we would like to state to the public that these statements do not reflect the truth. In the 94th article of the tender specifications for the facilities in the Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes Delta National Park, "The operator must put new nylon bags into the garbage bins and boxes in the rental area and daily areas where the facilities are located, collect the garbage with nylon bags, disinfect it and collect the collected garbage." They have to take the garbage to the garbage collection areas determined by the relevant municipalities in closed-box vehicles. In addition, the Operator must place 2 (Two) recycling bins for each daily use area and empty them regularly” and in Article 95, “The Operator is prohibited from dumping garbage or septic tanks within the National Park. As clearly stated in the statement "If there is a blockage in the septic tank of the toilets in the National Park for any reason, the maintenance and repair will be done by the operator", these responsibilities must be fulfilled by the operator.

We respectfully present it to the public...
