TWO NEW TOURISTIC ROUTES TO KUŞADASI

THE MEMORY OF ROSEMARY LIVES IN KUŞADASI

Kuşadası Municipality, which continues its efforts to bring new cultural routes to the city, opened the 'Rosemary Memorial House and Haluk Perk Coffee House' with a ceremony. Speaking at the opening, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “What makes a tourism city valuable is its history. "We are happy to bring two more important cultural values to our city," he said.

Kuşadası Municipality has brought 2 new routes in the field of cultural tourism to Kuşadası, the tourism capital of Turkey. Within the scope of Mayor Ömer Günel's "city of museums" project, 'Rosemary Memorial House and Haluk Perk Coffee House' were opened with a ceremony. Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, deputy mayors, council members, collector Haluk Perk, television personality and musician Ayhan Sicimoğlu, KUSAV President Levent Köylü, writer Joan Kim Erkan and Claude Rosemary's close friends and many guests attended the opening ceremony.

At the Rosemary Memorial House located in the Marina area, items used in the daily life of Rosemary Baldwin, who lived in Kuşadası between 1965 and 1978 and worked for many years to preserve the natural beauties of the city and introduce them to the whole world, are exhibited. Haluk Perk Coffee House, which takes its visitors on a journey through the history of Turkish coffee, which has a history of approximately 600 years, includes traditional items used in the preparation and serving of Turkish coffee.

'WHAT MAKES A TOURISM CITY VALUABLE IS ITS PAST'

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel said, “What makes a tourism city valuable is its history. If we highlight the important values that Kuşadası has, we can make tourists and other people look at Kuşadası in a completely different way. For this reason, we are trying to create new tourist routes in Kuşadası. Because when a tourist comes to a city, the more places he sees and the more memories he returns with, the higher his chances of coming back the next year. "Visitors coming to our city will be able to learn about our traditions and culture at Haluk Perk Coffee House after going on a historical journey at the Rosemary Memorial House," he said.

'IT WAS VERY SUITABLE FOR HIS SPIRIT'

Collector Haluk Perk said, “Kuşadası is the most important center of tourism in the world. I am very proud that one of my collections will be exhibited in such a meaningful cultural venue. Haluk Perk Coffee House was very suitable for the spirit of the Rosemary Memorial House. "I would like to thank Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel," he said.

At the ceremony, people who contributed to the opening of the Rosemary Memorial House and Haluk Perk Coffee House were given plaques of appreciation by Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel. Writer Joan Kim Erkan also signed her book titled 'Lady Who'.
